Austrian police have arrested two people in the town of St. Pölten, about 85 kilometres from Vienna, for the attack in the Austrian capital.

Four victims were killed in the attack on Monday evening.

One perpetrator was killed. The police carried out house searches in St. Pölten and Vienna on Tuesday.
