Twitter and Meta, the parent company above Facebook, have deleted some responses from the Russian embassy in the United Kingdom to a post about the Russian bombing of a children’s hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
That reports Reuters news agency. The messages went against the rules of conduct.
The mayor of Mariupol said three people, including a child, were killed in the bombing. Seventeen other people were injured. The Ukrainian government and the West reacted incensed to the Russian attack.
However, according to the Russian embassy in London, this is ‘fake news’. The embassy’s account posted this under messages about the attack on Facebook and Twitter.
The response also said the hospital’s maternity hospital was “not operational” and “occupied by Ukrainian fighters.”
