Switzerland Wants to Relax its Corona Restrictions Step by Step

Switzerland wants to relax its corona restrictions step by step. From April 27, hairdressers can get back to work.

Some of the schools will be open again from May 11, as will markets and shops. And on June 8, it will be the turn of other schools, universities, museums and libraries.

The Swiss government emphasizes that the easing can only be done if the outbreak remains under control, so without a significant increase in the number of new infections.

The authorities emphasize that it is still necessary to keep a distance. It is also not excluded that in some instances, there will always be an obligation to wear a mask.

Switzerland has so far had over 26,400 infections. More than 1,200 patients succumbed to the coronavirus.
