Spain Closes Discos and Nightclubs Against the Spread of Corona

Spain is closing all discos and nightclubs to prevent a further spread of the coronavirus. Restaurants and bars may remain open, but from now on, they have to close every night at 1 a.m.

That said the Spanish health minister on Friday.

Smoking in outdoor areas will also be restricted when it is impossible to keep a safe distance, along with other new measures to combat an increase in coronavirus infections, Minister Salvador Illa said.

Illa also advised against gatherings of more than ten people and specifically warned young people not to gather outside to drink alcohol.

Corona infections in Spain have increased again in recent days, bringing the total number of cases reported since Thursday to 337,334 since the start of the pandemic.
