US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is travelling to North Korea on Thursday to discuss the nuclear weapons-freeing of the Korean peninsula. He will consult with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, reports the Dawn News.
That was what the White House said in a statement. Regarding a timetable for the dismantling of the nuclear weapons arsenal of North Korea, Washington did not let itself go.
At the historic summit on June 12 between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un, North Korean leader denounced the ‘denuclearisation’ of North Korea.
Sources from US intelligence agencies reported in recent weeks that the Pyongyang regime is keeping information about its nuclear program secret because it does not want to give up all nuclear weapons. Pompeo has not yet spoken about this.
