Russia Would Like to Return to Peaceful Coexistence from Cold War

Russia has called for a return to “peaceful coexistence” between Moscow and Washington from the Cold War (1947-1989) era.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has suggested this in Moscow.

Nevertheless, the country remains willing to enter into “an honest and respectful dialogue” with the United States and hopes that normal relations can be restored between the two.

During the Cold War between the West and the communist Soviet Union, direct confrontations were avoided as much as possible.
