Residents of the State of New York must stay in as much as possible from Sunday to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
Besides, all businesses that are not essential must remain closed. Supermarkets and banks are among the companies that are allowed to continue operating.
That was announced by the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, on Friday. “Stay indoors. And if you do go out for exercise, do it alone.”
The coronavirus has claimed 35 lives in New York so far. More than 7,000 people have been tested positive in the state.
On Thursday, Governor Gavin Newsom of California announced that the coronavirus would only allow the approximately 40 million inhabitants of the state to leave home for essential reasons.
According to Newsom, an estimated 56 percent of people in California will become infected with the lung virus in the next eight weeks.
