Although that is not allowed, former US President Donald Trump still had official documents at home after leaving the White House. The Washington Post newspaper reported that employees of the US National Archives recently recovered several boxes of papers.

The boxes were located at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, which served as a sort of second White House during his presidency. The paper finds that the chargeback last month underscores the previous administration’s negligent handling of presidential data.

The documents include correspondence with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, whom Trump once described as love letters. Also included was a letter from President Barack Obama to his successor Trump.

The boxes at the Florida resort raise new concerns about Trump’s compliance with official rules. For example, a president must keep all memos, letters, notes, e-mails, faxes and other written communications related to his official duties.

The archives already had great difficulty with Trump’s handling of official documents. He often tore them to pieces. As a result, hundreds of pages had to be stitched back together. Others were delivered to the archive in pieces.
