KLM Resumes Flights to China

Airline KLM is once again executing all its scheduled flights to China.

At the end of last month, KLM cancelled several flights due to uncertainty about tightened corona measures in the country. After consultation with various parties, KLM’s own policy was found to meet the Chinese requirements.

Since the end of January, the Chinese authorities have demanded that the crew of an aircraft must be able to submit a double negative corona test.

Not only a negative PCR test is now required upon arrival, but also a rapid test. KLM has consulted with the umbrella organization IATA and its Chinese delegation to gain clarity.

Travel restrictions still plague KLM. For example, since last month the company has also had to deal with a flight ban to the United Kingdom, South Africa and South America.
