Catalonia Bans Going Out and Curfew Again in Valencia

The Spanish tourist regions of Catalonia and Valencia are coming up with new measures to contain the latest wave of the coronavirus. In Catalonia, where Barcelona is located, all public activities must end at 12:30 am.

You can also meet with a maximum of ten people, whether that is private or public.

In the region of Valencia, south of Catalonia, a curfew has been announced for more than thirty cities. The curfew from 1 am to 6 am also applies to the regional capital of Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city after Madrid and Barcelona.

All gatherings are limited to a maximum of six people.

“The numbers are beyond worrying; they are frankly very, very bad,” said the Catalan health minister. But also in the rest of Spain, there has been a rapid increase in recent weeks. This mainly concerns young people under the age of 30 who have not been vaccinated.
