At least 25 construction workers have been killed in a fire at a construction site in Incheon, South Korea.
Based on sources, the Yonhap news agency reports to the fire department that there are at least seven injured.
The fire broke out around 1:30 PM local time at a warehouse under construction.
Authorities suspect that the basement fire started after an unexpected explosion when using urethane, a flammable substance used when installing insulation.
“The fire appears to have spread quickly while the victims were unable to get to safety,” said the fire brigade. Survivors are still being searched for in the disaster.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun has instructed the ministers of the Interior and Security, the fire brigade and the national police to use all means available.
