At Least 22 Deaths in Bus Accidents in Uganda

A bus accident in the north of Uganda killed at least 22 people, including three children. Fourteen people were injured, said by iStorify.


The bus collided late last night at the city of Kiryandongo in the dark on a tractor without lights. Then the bus rammed a truck that was carrying beer. In daylight the havoc was visible:

Uganda is notorious for the many traffic accidents that happen. Between 2015 and 2017, according to official figures, over 9500 people were killed in traffic.

Many roads are poorly maintained and also very narrow. Furthermore, according to the authorities is often far too hard driven and many Ugandans with liquor at the wheel.
